Does your form have many optional fields to fill out? The purpose of optional fields is to provide users with a more personalized service and experience. But you'll lower your completion rate if you don't present them correctly.

A common mistake is to display optional fields the same way as the required fields. It's important to differentiate between these types of fields to minimize friction. The example below shows six optional fields in three sections presented openly on the form.
