Visual Data: The Secret to Better UX Design

Did you know that we process visual information faster than text? A 2014 MIT study found that the human brain can identify images in as little as 13 milliseconds. That speed is far faster than the 100 milliseconds suggested by previous studies (source).

You should be taking full advantage of this insight when you design interfaces. Interfaces that display more visual data than textual data provide the best user experience. Instead of forcing users to read information, you should enable them to recognize patterns.
