It really does depend upon device, environmental lighting, screen quality and settings, but also upon the application (does branding marketing need to factor in or strict optimal usability). I selected "tinted" because it has the most flexibility and is still easy on the eyes. While I love white, studies show that both stark white paper and screens can be tiring on eyes. I also love dark backgrounds, but studies show that it is more difficult to read light text on a dark background.

A lot depends on the device, screen settings, and most importantly the environmental light outside of the screen.

what a question...

everything depends on the approved brand colors (main website

colors) and what the dashboard right part will look like :(

Tinted or shaded seems the easiest on the eyes, depending on environmental factors. I selected tinted for the poll.

I love these polls. UX Movement does a great job of teaching designers by using comparisons. Thank you.
